The history and the value of our name
EC \ Vodnik is the result
of more than 50 years of work
In 1948, just 13 years old, José Vodnik arrived in Argentina from Slovenia, exiled by the Second World War. From a young age, working as a day laborer as a bricklayer he learned the trade, and studying at night he cultivated the language and received an MMO (Master of Works).
In the '60s he settled in Patagonia, where he dedicated himself to construction. In the '70s he started a wool transport business and then set up his own construction company. In the '80s he opened a constructors warehouse Emporio de la Construcción and in the mid-90s we joined the business. Working alongside our father, we learned from boys to take responsibility, absorbing the entrepreneurial spirit and assimilating their values.
At the end of 2001, we specified the first service in the oil industry for Pride International company. We call this endeavor EC then it would be named EC Argentina.
In 2003 our father died, and from then on we continue with the legacy, innovating and transforming the business but keeping intact its essence.
In 2016 we merged the names EC and VODNIK to create a new brand that synthesizes the values of our origin and the vision of the future.
We learned that reputation and trust are built over time. That it requires responsibility to generate it and even more to conserve it.
Today, thanks to the values we knew how to cultivate, we have a reliable name and it is our most important asset.
